Following the announcement made by Sky Sports that he will be participating in the Africa Cup of Nations alongside Ivory Coast, Manchester United attacking midfielder Amad Diallo has provided a response on the social networking platform X, which was once known as Twitter.

Following the knee injury that he sustained during the preseason friendly match against Arsenal in the United States of America in July, the 21-year-old eventually made his debut for the season on Saturday, when the team was defeated by Nottingham Forest by a score of 2-1. This was the first time that he had played since the injury occurred.

Breaking News: Following a report by Sky Sports, Manchester United forward Amad Diallo has confirmed that he would not be attending the African Cup of Nations in 2024

Ivory Coast chose Amad to be a part of their initial 53-man squad; but, manager Jean-Louis Gasset has decided not to include him on the final roster. The Red Devils forward has confirmed the news after Sky Sports made an incorrect claim that he was going to the tournament before removing the post.

Despite the fact that Amad has not played football since July, Ivory Coast have made the right choice, and he will be looking forward to impressing Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, during training.

This month, he has been connected with a loan exit, and it has been stated that Sunderland, Everton, Fulham, Crystal Palace, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Southampton are all interested in acquiring his services for the second half of the season.

After making a name for himself with the Black Cats in the Championship during the previous season, the former Atalanta starlet may not be able to reach his full potential unless he is allowed to leave the Old Trafford club on loan once more. Ipswich Town is also interested in acquiring his services.

Following the conclusion of the previous season, Amad participated in 37 Championship matches, during which he scored 13 goals and contributed three assists. Prior to the knee injury that he sustained in the summer, it was anticipated that he would be a contender for a starting position for Manchester United.
