Leão to Barça? Only for €250 Million!” – Milan Star Casts Doubt on Move as Barça Wait!

Barcelona, July 6, 2025 – The Rafael Leão to Barcelona saga has taken another strange twist, and it’s the player himself adding fuel to the fire.

Two days ago, AC Milan reportedly informed FC Barcelona that their starting price for the Portuguese sensation would be no less than €120 million. But in a move that caught everyone off guard, Leão joked – or perhaps hinted seriously – that only a €250 million fee would make him consider the switch.

If I go to Barcelona, it better be for €250 million. Otherwise, I’ll ask myself not to sign anything at all, Leão was quoted as saying during pre-season conversations with friends.

I’m at Milan, I’m happy, and unless it’s something extraordinary – historic even – I’m not going anywhere.

The comments have thrown Barça’s pursuit into uncertainty. While club insiders at Camp Nou remain keen on landing the 25-year-old forward to reinforce their attack, the mix of Milan’s firm stance and Leão’s ambiguous remarks has left negotiations in limbo.

Barcelona view Leão as a top-tier target to reshape their left flank, but with the player’s recent words – “I’m telling myself not to sign the deal” – even the fans are beginning to wonder: is this just a transfer tease, or has Leão already made up his mind?

As the clock ticks and the transfer window heats up, one thing’s for sure: this isn’t your average transfer rumor.
