Leyton Orient have rejected a £1.5million bid from Charlton for Ethan Galbraith.

Galbraith starred for Orient in League One last season and is attracting interest from several Championship sides, with at least three other clubs expected to bid for the 24-year-old next week.

Charlton are targeting Galbraith ahead of their return to the Championship next season, having just tied down manager Nathan Jones to a new five-year contract

Orient are reluctant to lose any of the key players of their team that lost in the League One play-off final to Charlton at Wembley last month.

But the east London club are braced for more offers for Galbraith.

Orient boss Richie Wellens believes Galbraith, who came through the ranks at Manchester United, will soon be playing in the Premier League.

There is no doubt in my mind that Ethan Galbraith is a Premier League player,” said Wellens this season.

Meanwhile, Wellens is close to signing a new three-year contract at Orient that will run until 2028.
