REPORT: 9X Pro Bowl Quarterback Expected To Have Meeting With Las Vegas Raiders For Starting Job In 2024
The Las Vegas Raiders are slated to meet with a nine-time Pro Bowl quarterback shortly. The Raiders are looking into various options for the starting quarterback position for the 2017 season.
The Raiders have been mentioned as a potential trade partner with the Chicago Bears for Justin Fields. There is some talk that the Raiders may move up in the first round to acquire J.J. McCarthy.
Head coach Antonio Pierce does not want a band-aid, but he could bring in a veteran who can serve as a temporary solution.
Wison has had a busy week since the Broncos released him to spread their dead cap hit over the next two seasons. He is meeting with the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New York Giants.
Wilson would be an inexpensive quarterback option for the Raiders. Because the Broncos are still paying his salary for the 2024 season, the Raiders can sign him for the league minimum. The Raiders may sign Wilson this offseason and select a young quarterback for the long term in the April draft.
