So Sad…I Can’t Continue Anymore!! Melbourne Demon Player Harry Grant….

Billy Slater will likely have to keep Harry Grant as his starting hooker in State of Origin 2 after potential bolter Max Plath suffered an injury setback on Friday

night. The Maroons are 0-4 when Grant starts in State of Origin, including Game 1 of this year’s series when the Melbourne Storm captain had a shocker.

Slater has had much more success using Grant off the bench, as it means he can avoid the rough and tumble of the first 10 minutes and come onto the field with fresh legs. The Maroons coach has previously used Ben Hunt as his starting

No.9 for that very reason, but the Broncos veteran is out with a hamstring injury and likely won’t be back in time for Origin 2.

means Slater might be forced to keep Grant as his starting hooker, although he might opt to use Kurt Mann in that role after he was 18th man for Game 1. Another option is Reed Mahoney, but the Bulldogs hooker is reportedly facing the axe at NRL level.

Parker previously said about Plath on SEN radio: “One of his greatest strengths is that he just competes. He has a red-hot crack… and the biggest games in rugby league, if you are competing your absolute arse off you’re going to be there when it counts. And for Max Plath that is his DNA and that’s what we see week in, week out…I wouldn’t have an issue at all if Max Plath went into a Queensland jersey.”
