Boston Bruins star defenseman Charlie McAvoy has delivered a fresh update on his recovery after surgery and the news has left fans shocked and buzzing across social media
Boston Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy is giving fans hope with an unexpectedly fast recovery.
After suffering a fractured jaw from a slap shot in Montreal earlier this month, McAvoy underwent surgery and has been on a strict liquid diet, losing nearly 20 pounds.

Despite doctors estimating six weeks before he can return to solid foods, he was already leading warm-ups at center ice with his teammates ahead of Thursday’s game against the Winnipeg Jets.
He could even be back in the lineup sooner than expected, a major boost for Boston’s defense.
