Mike Norvell, the head coach of Florida State, is likely not overly happy with his starting quarterback after remarks he made regarding one of the Noles’ most formidable opponents in 2026 surfaced online.

The former Boston College quarterback, Pete Nakos of On3 Sports, had some harsh things to say about the Alabama Crimson Tide, who the Noles will play on August 30 at Doak Campbell Stadium, in an interview with Thomas Castellanos.

“Dude, I’m thrilled,” Castellanos said to On3 Sports. I’m not sure whether people are aware, but if you go back and watch every game I’ve participated in, we usually get off to a quick start. I had dreams of times like these. Playing versus Alabama was my dream. Nick Saban isn’t there to save them. I simply don’t see them preventing me.
