A natural progression has taken place in the Gloversville football program.

Ryan Mulligan, the offensive coordinator for the last five years under Jim Robare,

has taken over the head coaching job from Robare, who resigned recently to spend more time watching his son, Kyle, play for Utica University.

Ryan Mulligan is the current head coach of the Gloversville Huskies football team, a position he has held since the 2024 season. Under his leadership, the team

competes in Section 2 Class B North of New York State. In addition to his role as head coach, Mulligan also serves as the school’s athletic director.

Prior to his tenure at Gloversville, Mulligan played college football at Hartwick College, where he was a freshman running back in the 2012 season. He also had a notable high school

career at Schuylerville High School, where he was the starting quarterback and played a pivotal role in the team’s adoption of the flexbone offense during the 2010 season.

As of the 2024 season, Mulligan’s coaching staff includes assistant coaches Martin Mulligan, Adam Towne, Eric Cheney, Marc Porter, and James Robare.
