Saskatchewan Roughriders offensive lineman Logan Ferland delivers a heartfelt message after the Grey Cup win against Montreal Alouettes

Saskatchewan’s own Logan Ferland reflects on Grey Cup triumph: “It’s a dream come true”

Hailing from Saskatchewan and a long-time member of the Roughriders, Logan Ferland spoke to TSN’s Claire Hanna about the team’s triumphant Grey Cup victory.
The emotional interview saw Ferland open up about what winning the championship on home soil means to him personally, as well as the pride he feels in helping bring the storied trophy back to his home province.
If Harris was near flawless when it came to distributing the football, then Samuel Emilus was absolutely perfect in his role as a receiver.
The National pass-catcher did not allow a single pass to drop, hauling in all 10 targets for 108 yards and earning Most Valuable Canadian honors for his stellar performance.
Red Zone Efficiency – 100% for Saskatchewan
Another area where the Roughriders were untouchable was in the red zone. Saskatchewan reached the final 20 yards on three separate drives, converting all three into rushing touchdowns. AJ Ouellette scored once, while Tommy Stevens added two majors.
One particularly decisive drive saw the Riders facing a third-and-two situation, where head coach Corey Mace made the aggressive decision to go for it. His gamble paid off, with the team drawing a penalty and ultimately punching in the touchdown.
Turnover Battle – 4-0 in Saskatchewan’s Favor
The Montreal Alouettes jumped out to an early 7-1 lead after the first quarter. However, Saskatchewan responded with 24 unanswered points, taking control and building a 25-7 advantage in the third quarter.
That dominant stretch proved crucial, giving the Riders enough breathing room to withstand a late Alouettes comeback and secure their first Grey Cup championship since 2013.
