CFL announces nine candidates for 2026 Women in Football internship
The Canadian Football League has introduced its latest group of participants for the 2026 Women in Football internship program.
Each of the league’s nine teams will host one intern for around four weeks within their football operations departments, while participants will also receive mentorship support from KPMG. Speaking on the initiative, CFL chief revenue officer Tyler Keenan подчеркнул the league’s commitment to growing the game and creating opportunities for women within it.

The selected participants represent a range of roles across coaching, operations, athletic therapy, strength and conditioning, and marketing, with placements spread across all nine franchises.
Now in its fifth year, the program continues to make a tangible impact, with several former interns going on to secure full-time or contract roles within the league. Notable success stories include positions with teams like the Edmonton Elks and Hamilton Tiger-Cats, highlighting the pathway the initiative provides into professional football.
