Could Nathan Rourke be on his way out of the BC Lions? Revealed
Nathan Rourke, one of Canada’s top quarterbacks, has previously won the league’s Most Outstanding Player award and holds the record for highest single-season completion percentage. Some American football fans may also recognize him from his time with the Ohio Bobcats in the MAC.

Recently, speculation about his future has surfaced following a social media post that raised questions about a possible departure from the BC Lions. However, the idea of Rourke leaving doesn’t seem realistic from a career standpoint.
Looking closer, the timing and context suggest the post was meant as a joke rather than a serious update. In fact, there is no real indication that Rourke is planning to leave the CFL.
The team’s official account even hinted humorously that he was departing to prepare for flag football at the 2028 Olympics.
