Connor Ingram made headlines with comments about the disbanded Arizona Coyotes
The Edmonton Oilers began their playoff campaign with an exciting 4-3 victory over the Anaheim Ducks in Game 1, but the win was overshadowed by an injury setback involving veteran forward Adam Henrique, who was forced out of the contest early and is now expected to miss Game 2.
Head coach Kris Knoblauch confirmed after the game that Henrique was unable to return after getting tangled up in front of the net, and the full extent of the injury is still being assessed.

He admitted the loss could create a significant gap in the lineup, particularly on special teams where Henrique has played a key role. Knoblauch also noted that other players will need to step up if the veteran forward is unavailable, with options such as Josh Samanski and Curtis Lazar likely candidates to fill the fourth-line centre role.
While the injury news dominated post-game discussion, attention also turned to comments from Oilers goaltender Connor Ingram, who reflected on the atmosphere inside Rogers Place and drew comparisons to his former NHL environment. Ingram previously spent time with the Arizona Coyotes during their stint at the smaller Mullett Arena on the Arizona State University campus, and he contrasted that experience with the loud and energetic home crowd in Edmonton.
He described the atmosphere as a completely different level, noting the difference between playing in front of nearly 19,000 passionate fans compared to the much smaller crowds he experienced earlier in his career. His remarks quickly gained attention on social media due to the clear contrast he highlighted.
Despite the setback with Henrique, the Oilers remain focused on Game 2 preparations, with the coaching staff now considering adjustments to maintain depth and balance in the lineup as the series continues.
