Done deal: Canadian defensive lineman Rene Konga has signed an undrafted free agent deal with the Miami Dolphins following the 2026 NFL Draft
Canadian defensive lineman Rene Konga has signed with the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent following the 2026 NFL Draft, according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC2 in Houston.
The Ottawa native, who was projected by some to be a late Day 3 selection, ultimately went unpicked despite rising draft buzz in the final stages.

However, he secured a notable UDFA deal reportedly worth $287,500 in guaranteed money — an impressive figure for an undrafted player.
Konga spent the past two seasons at the University of Louisville, where he developed into a key defensive presence and earned second-team All-ACC honours in 2025. Over 23 appearances, he recorded 49 tackles, eight tackles for loss, four sacks, and six pass deflections.
