Joel Quenneville fumes at officials after missed call hurts the Anaheim Ducks in Game 1
The Vegas Golden Knights opened their second-round series with a Game 1 win over the Anaheim Ducks — though the decisive moment has sparked plenty of debate.
With the score locked at 1-1 late in the third period, the Ducks felt they were hard done by after officials appeared to wave off a potential icing call against Vegas. Play continued, leading to a dangerous chance that ultimately resulted in the Knights grabbing a 2-1 lead.

That sequence triggered a furious reaction from Ducks head coach Joel Quenneville, who was seen venting angrily at the officials from the bench. His frustration only intensified after the go-ahead goal, as emotions boiled over in the closing moments.
While the incident has drawn criticism, there is also an argument that the officials made the correct decision. Jack Eichelappeared to have the edge in the race to the puck, giving the linesman reason to wave off icing in real time.
In the end, it proved to be a turning point — a tough break for Anaheim, but one that helped Vegas seize early control of the series.
