Columbus enters the matchup with a 4-3-1 record at home and a 9-7-2 mark overall. The Blue Jackets are especially strong when their offense clicks, going 8-1-1 in games where they score three or more goals.
Montreal has been solid on the road, posting a 5-2-1 record away from home and a 10-6-2 record overall. The Canadiens have accumulated 85 penalties—an average of 4.7 per game—which is the second-most in the NHL.
This will be the first head-to-head meeting between the two clubs this season.
