Boston Bruins head coach Marco Sturm delivers an exciting injury news on McAvoy and Pastrnak
Boston Bruins head coach Marco Sturm addressed the media ahead of tonight’s matchup against the St. Louis Blues, confirming that backup goaltender Joonas Korpisalo will start in goal. Sturm also gave updates on injured stars Charlie McAvoy and David Pastrnak.
McAvoy is skating on a day-to-day basis, with the team planning to reassess his progress next week. He had undergone jaw surgery last month after taking a slap shot to the face.

Pastrnak is expected to begin skating soon, but Sturm stressed that he is not yet ready to return to game action.
On the other side, Blues head coach Jim Montgomery, who previously coached in Boston, confirmed that Jordan Binnington will start in goal for St. Louis tonight.
