Montreal Alouettes complete signing of Jonathan Sutherland
The Montreal Alouettes confirmed on Friday that they have signed national defensive back Jonathan Sutherland to a three-year contract. Sutherland was selected fifth overall in the 2023 CFL Draft.
The five-foot-11, 202-pound defender initially began his professional career in the NFL, signing with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in 2023 and spending much of his rookie season on the practice squad.

The 27-year-old later attended training camp with the New York Giants in 2024 before joining the Las Vegas Raiders last spring.
Sutherland played his college football at Penn State, where he appeared in 56 games and recorded
