Accusations fly as NHL club linked to unusual Team USA decision
NHL team questioned over odd social media move involving Team USA photo
Team USA has arrived in Milano, Italy for the 2026 Winter Olympics, and the squad took to the ice for their official team photo. What should have been a routine photoshoot quickly turned into an online talking point.

The controversy began when the New Jersey Devils shared an image of star forward Jack Hughes alongside brothers Brady and Matthew Tkachuk. However, fans quickly noticed something strange about the picture.
Jack’s brother, Quinn Hughes, appeared to have been awkwardly edited out — but not completely. His upper body seemed to be removed from the image, while part of his lower body was still visible, creating a noticeably odd visual.
The post sparked confusion and jokes across social media, with many wondering why the edit was done in the first place. Some fans even speculated — likely tongue-in-cheek — about lingering team rivalries or frustration over player movement, but no official explanation has been given.
Instead of celebrating Team USA’s moment ahead of the Games, the unusual photo edit ended up stealing the spotlight online.
