BREAKING: Alabama Insider Predicts Crimson Tide to Land GAME-CHANGING Playmaking TE! 🔥

In the 2026 class, Alabama’s top offensive target is TE Mack Sutter, a 4-star, Top 100 prospect from Dunlap, Illinois. The Crimson Tide is expected to tempt Sutter away from his native state on Thursday, as he is scheduled to make his commitment. Illinois: Sutter’s final four consists of Alabama, Illinois, Ohio State, and Ole Miss. The Crimson Tide received the coveted final visit this past weekend, despite the fact that he made official visits to all four institutions this summer.
According to the 247 composite, Sutter is the No. 6 tight end and the No. 80 overall athlete.
The Crimson Tide would undergo a 180-degree turn if Sutter selects Alabama over his native state of Illinois on Thursday, given the outcome of the Roman Voss recruitment. Voss succumbed to the allure of remaining at home and chose Minnesota over the Crimson Tide on Monday.
Sutter was the primary concern; however, Kalen DeBoer and his colleagues would have been delighted to pursue both opportunities. Following Voss’ decision, the importance of landing Sutter increased.
Mack Sutter would be a valuable addition to Alabama’s talented youthful tight end corps.
In the 2025 class, Alabama signed two 4-star tight ends: Marshall Pritchett and Kaleb Edwards. Alabama signed two tight ends from the spring Transfer Portal window: Troy’s Brody Dalton and West Virginia’s Jack Sammarco. TE was a primary focus for the staff.
Alabama may have two tight end positions to fill this offseason, as Dalton and Josh Cuevas, a transfer from Washington, are both entering their final season of college eligibility.
Sutter is an exceptional athlete, comparable to Edwards in the previous year’s class. In the offensive system of DeBoer and OC Ryan Grubb, a difference-maker at TE is essential, and Alabama appears to be on the brink of securing another.
Sutter competes in both offence and defence during his high school career. The blue-chip prospect caught 35 passes for 505 yards and scored seven touchdowns during his junior year at Dunlap.
Sutter’s physical attributes, including a height of six feet five and a weight of 230 pounds, are conducive to an immediate transition to playing time at the collegiate level.
It has been several years since Alabama has had a genuine difference-maker in the TE room. The Tide has not had a tight end surpass 500 receiving yards in a single season since Irv Smith Jr. surpassed 700 in 2018.
It appears that the streak will shortly come to an end, as the talent is advancing and Sutter has joined the impressive crop from last year.
