Montreal Alouettes Charleston Rambo wide receiver sends a brutal warning message to Saskatchewan Roughriders ahead of the Grey Cup game
Receiver Charleston Rambo came up big for the Montreal Alouettes in the East Division final, despite being somewhat of an afterthought during the season. In the tight 19-16 win over Hamilton, Rambo made two clutch second-down catches of 9 and 19 yards from quarterback Davis Alexander, moving the chains and putting Montreal in field-goal range.

“It was an understanding of those two plays,” Rambo said. “I had to be ready, quick off the line, because the mindset was the ball is coming to you first. Get upfield. Get vertical.
Be ready for an outlet.” The 26-year-old from Cedar Hill, Texas, has gradually become more involved, catching 54 passes for 585 yards and three touchdowns this season.
Alouettes GM Danny Maciocia praised Rambo for his consistency, toughness, and durability.
Meanwhile, kicker Boris Bede Maltos sealed the victory with a field goal, continuing his impressive season that saw him set a franchise record with 58 field goals.
Maltos, 34, who began his pro career in 2013 and spent time in both the NFL and CFL, is now preparing for his first Grey Cup with Montreal.
Rambo, the Als’ fastest receiver, is excited for the championship, saying, “We’re going to go out, put it all on the line, and come out with the win.” Montreal now heads to Winnipeg to face the Saskatchewan Roughriders for the Grey Cup.
