The Saskatchewan Roughriders will begin their defence of the 2025 Grey Cup title with a Week 2 matchup against the B.C. Lions—the same opponent they beat to earn their spot in the 112th Grey Cup.

Supporters will also get to celebrate the franchise’s fifth CFL championship when the regular season opens on Saturday, June 13, following Saskatchewan’s 25–17 victory over the Montreal Alouettes. Rider Nation will enjoy 10 regular-season home games—one more than usual due to the Toronto Argonauts’ temporary situation—along with a preseason clash against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in Saskatoon on Saturday, May 23. That contest will be the first CFL game played in the city since 1991.

Saskatchewan begins the 2026 season with a bye in Week 1 before returning home to Mosaic Stadium for a celebratory home opener in Week 2. The opener is one of four Saturday home dates, with the others slated for Weeks 13, 20, and 21. The Roughriders will also host Friday games in Weeks 10 and 18, two Sunday games including the 61st Labour Day Classic on September 6, and a Thursday matchup in Week 8.

The Riders open the CFL preseason on the road against Calgary on Monday, May 18, before heading back to training camp and Saskatoon for their second preseason outing at Griffiths Stadium the following week.

Saskatchewan’s 2026 schedule includes four weeks with less than a full seven days between games, plus additional bye weeks in Weeks 7 and 16.
