Breaking news: Huge boost for Stampeders Calgary as Williams signs extension
Calgary Stampeders have secured Zack Williams on a contract extension that will keep him with the team through the 2028 season, the club confirmed on Wednesday. The offensive lineman had already been under contract for 2026.
The 29-year-old enjoyed a standout 2025 campaign, earning All-West Division honours for the first time in his career. He started all 18 regular-season games at left guard, playing a key role in helping Dedrick Mills capture the CFL rushing title.

Williams’ performances also saw him named Calgary’s nominee for the league’s Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman award, underlining his importance to the team’s success.
