“Maple Leafs receive a major injury blow” – Latest injury fitness update on defenseman Brandon Carlo
Toronto Maple Leafs insider Mark Masters reports that defenseman Brandon Carlo will be sidelined indefinitely after experiencing a setback in his recovery.
Carlo has left the team and returned to Toronto to undergo additional evaluations.

Honestly, Carlo’s tenure with the Leafs has been rough so far.
GM Brad Treliving brought him in at last season’s trade deadline, giving up top prospect Fraser Minten, a first-round pick, and a fourth-round pick.
Since then, Carlo has appeared in just 18 games this season and recorded only two points. Not great…
When you add in Treliving’s other deadline move for Scott Laughton, it means he spent two top prospects, two first-rounders, and a fourth-rounder for what has ended up being minimal impact.
