Breaking news: Dallas announces the devastating news about Tyler Seguin
Tyler Seguin has suffered yet another major setback, dealing a serious blow to the Dallas Stars’ playoff ambitions. What initially looked worrying has now been confirmed as much worse.
Earlier today, we mentioned that Seguin had to be assisted off the ice after an awkward collision in the opening period of Tuesday’s matchup against the New York Rangers.

Team insider Mike Heika has now confirmed that Seguin sustained an ACL injury and will be sidelined for an extended period.
During the play, Rangers defenseman Vladislav Gavrikov fell onto Seguin’s right leg, causing it to bend in a way that clearly troubled him as he left the ice.
Before the injury, Seguin had recorded seven goals and 10 assists in 26 games.
His absence adds to a growing list of injured Stars players, with Matt Duchene, Lian Bichsel, Thomas Harley, Nils Lundkvist and Adam Erne already out.
It’s especially tough news for Seguin personally.
This season was meant to be his comeback after being limited to only 20 games last year due to hip surgery.
Instead, just two minutes into game 27, he’s once again facing a long recovery.
