Blockbuster for Tiger-Cats as All-CFL lineman Brandon Revenberg signs new deal
Hamilton Tiger-Cats secure All-CFL lineman Brandon Revenberg for 2026 season
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have extended Canadian offensive lineman Brandon Revenberg’s contract by one year, keeping the veteran star in Hamilton for the 2026 campaign.

The 33-year-old started all 18 games at left guard during the 2025 season, earning All-CFL honours for the fifth time and East Division All-CFL recognition for the sixth time in his career. He was also named the East Division’s Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman for the fourth time (2018, 2021, 2022, 2025).
“Brandon has been one of the most consistent and reliable players in this league for years,” head coach Scott Milanovich said. “His work ethic, toughness, and leadership define what it means to be a Tiger-Cat. He’s a cornerstone of our core group and someone our young players can lean on. Having him back is huge for our organization.”
Originally drafted third overall by Hamilton in the first round of the 2016 CFL Draft, Revenberg has played 156 career games over nine seasons. The Essex, Ontario native stands six-foot-four and weighs 300 pounds, and remarkably, he has missed just two games in his CFL career, none due to injury.
“Hamilton has been home for a long time, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to return for another season,” Revenberg said. “This organization, this locker room, and this city mean a lot to me. I feel a strong responsibility to lead, set the standard up front, and do everything I can to help this team win. I’m excited to get back to work and continue building something special here.”
Revenberg played collegiately at Grand Valley State University, appearing in 32 games for the Lakers before entering the CFL.
The Tiger-Cats finished first in the East Division with an 11-7 record in 2025 but fell to the Montreal Alouettes in the East Final. Quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell led the league with 5,296 passing yards, 36 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions while earning the East Division nomination for Most Outstanding Player.
Hamilton ranked third in net offence, eighth in net defence, and topped the league with a +10 turnover differential. Greg Bell led the rushing attack with 1,038 yards, Kenny Lawler led in receiving with 1,443 yards, and Stavros Katsantonis led the defence with 69 tackles. The team also drew an average home crowd of 22,858, a 3.9 percent increase from the previous year, ranking fourth in the league for attendance.
