On Monday night, Titan Davis, a 4-star defensive lineman from Saint Louis, MO, committed to Michigan, one of Alabama’s top targets. There is still a significant amount of meat on the bone at the position in the 2026 class. Alabama came close, but ultimately was unable to secure the commitment of the St. Louis native. Davis chose the Wolverines over the Crimson Tide.

A few weeks ago, Davis had designated Alabama and Michigan as his final two choices. The Tide appeared to be in relatively decent shape following his official visit to Tuscaloosa on the final weekend of May. However, recruiting is in a state of flux, and Davis’ circumstances underwent a transformation following his visit to Ann Arbour over the weekend.

Additionally, Alabama has secured the commitment of in-state 4-star defensive lineman Kamhaiyan Johnson. Kalen DeBoer and his staff have prioritised the development of the defensive line in this class. Despite the fact that they were unable to secure Davis, there is still a substantial amount of talent available, including several elite prospects.

Headlining the event is Nolan Wilson, a four-star The remaining DL targets in Alabama
Alabama’s recruitment of 4-star Nolan Wilson from Picayune, Mississippi, will proceed at maximum speed.

Alabama was the first P4 program to offer Wilson a scholarship, and they established a relationship with him at an early stage. He conducted official visits to Auburn, Alabama, his hometown of Ole Miss, and most recently, Miami (FL). The Tide currently maintains a slide lead in the On3 RPM, and he has made more visits to Tuscaloosa than any other location. However, the prospect of closing the deal is far from guaranteed.

DeBoer Michigan recently presented a pitch to Davis regarding DL development that no other team in the country has been able to match and set out the red carpet.

On Sunday, the Tide secured the commitment of 3-star defensive lineman JJ Finch from Indianapolis, which alleviated the disappointment regarding Davis’ loss. Davis is more highly regarded; however, Finch had an impressive offer list and was sought after by numerous prestigious programs, including the Wolverines.

After failing to secure Davis, it is probable that DeBoer, DC Kane Wommack, and DL coach Freddie Roach will implement a full-court press on Wilson. The Alabama coaching staff has long coveted him, and this early affection may prove advantageous.

Another Alabama player in contention is Elijah Golden, a four-star prospect from King George, VA. Golden concluded his itinerary with a visit to Notre Dame in South Bend last weekend, following an official visit to Alabama on June 13th. According to the On3 RPM, the Irish are currently in the lead, with Virginia Tech in second and Alabama in third.

It remains to be determined whether Alabama will elect to engage more closely with Emanuel Ruffin, a four-star in-state product from Bessemer. Ruffin’s departure from the state has been a possibility for some time, as the Tide has not prioritised him. Davis’ departure from the board could potentially alter this.
