Breaking news: Vancouver Canucks Ink David Kämpf to an Affordable 1-Year Deal
General Manager Patrik Allvin announced on Saturday that the Vancouver Canucks have signed forward David Kämpf to a one-year contract worth $1.1 million. Kämpf arrives in Vancouver after opting to terminate his deal with the Toronto Maple Leafs, giving up several million dollars to take a short-term “prove it” contract.

“David is a dependable two-way centre who will instantly make us stronger down the middle,” Allvin said. “He’s effective on faceoffs and a strong penalty killer, two areas where we need improvement. His hockey sense is another key strength, and we believe he’ll be a great fit for our team.”
