Breaking: Strong financial results see Blue Bombers earn $12.1 million profit after Grey Cup success
Winnipeg Blue Bombers enjoyed a highly successful 2025 campaign financially, recording a $12.1 million operating profit after hosting the 112th Grey Cup and selling out every regular-season game.
According to the club’s report, operating revenue surged to $82.8 million—up significantly from $54.7 million the previous year—while expenses also rose from $47.7 million to $70.7 million. Both increases were largely attributed to the costs and revenues associated with staging the Grey Cup and its related events.
Team president and CEO Wade Miller credited the strong financial performance to consistent fan support, highlighting an average attendance of over 33,000 throughout the season.
The Grey Cup itself, which saw the Saskatchewan Roughriders defeat the Montreal Alouettes 25–17, was played in front of a sold-out crowd of 32,343. The Blue Bombers also achieved a full regular-season sell-out for the first time in franchise history.
A significant portion of the profit—$8.4 million—has been allocated toward upgrades at Princess Auto Stadium. Improvements completed in 2025 include a new players’ lounge, HVAC upgrades, enhanced security screening systems, and improved concessions to boost service efficiency.

Additionally, new high-resolution video boards have been installed in partnership with Daktronics, offering a substantial improvement in visual quality while maintaining the same size as the previous screens.
Looking ahead, the club plans further enhancements, including renovations to the Rum Hut, upgraded loge seating, a new food and beverage system, and the addition of a barbecue stand to enhance the fan experience.
As one of the CFL’s publicly owned franchises—alongside the Saskatchewan Roughriders—the Blue Bombers are required to release their financial results annually, reinforcing their reputation for long-term financial stability and continued investment in facilities.
