Edmonton Oilers linked with two names ahead of NHL trade window closing
The Edmonton Oilers are exploring roster additions and have reportedly set their sights on two players. With the NHL trade deadline approaching, fans have debated whether the team should prioritize a goaltender, a defenseman, or a third-line center.
On Monday, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman revealed on the 32 Thoughts podcast that the Oilers have recently inquired about St. Louis Blues defenseman Justin Faulk and Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson.

Faulk has posted 11 goals and 21 assists for 32 points in 60 games, but his $6.5 million AAV and one year left on his contract could complicate a move.
Ekman-Larsson, meanwhile, has 8 goals and 27 assists for 35 points and comes with a lower $3.5 million AAV, though he has two more seasons on his deal.
