The Saskatchewan Roughriders have added Canadian offensive lineman Connor Klassen to their roster, the team confirmed on Tuesday.

The Big River, Saskatchewan native was originally selected in the fourth round of the 2025 CFL Draft by the BC Lions. His time in Vancouver was disrupted by injury during training camp, leading to his release, and he was later cut again earlier this month before landing this new opportunity with Saskatchewan.

The 6-foot-4, 310-pound lineman developed at the University of Regina, where he started 19 games at right tackle for the Rams. Before his university career, he also played junior football with the Regina Thunder in the CJFL, earning Prairie Conference all-star honours on two occasions.

In a corresponding move, the Roughriders released American defensive lineman Marcus Haynes. The 6-foot-4, 240-pound edge rusher joined the team in January after a strong college career at Old Dominion, where he produced 102 tackles, 22 tackles for loss, 15 sacks, five pass breakups, four forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery across 49 games.
