Footage emerges of incident involving Canadiens and Sabres fans
A video has surfaced showing an incident involving supporters from two rival fan bases during Game 1 of the second-round series between the Buffalo Sabres and Montreal Canadiens.
Following a commanding win for the Sabres over the Canadiens at KeyBank Center in Buffalo, a minor confrontation reportedly broke out outside the arena. The situation has since drawn attention online after members of HabsFanTV referenced the incident on social media, prompting strong reactions from some Buffalo supporters.

Although HabsFanTV did not originally release the footage, it has since been shared by another social media user who claims to cover the Buffalo Bills, in an apparent attempt to dispute that any altercation occurred.
In the video itself, a man appears to attempt to tackle another individual wearing Canadiens colours, who is seen trying to avoid confrontation. The clip has quickly spread across social platforms, sparking debate among fans from both sides.
HabsFanTV later stated that they initially chose not to post the footage, saying it did not reflect the wider Sabres fan base. They have since reiterated that they do not believe the behaviour shown represents Buffalo supporters as a whole, stressing that the incident appears to involve a single individual rather than the fan base broadly.
