Tom Wilson’s funny take on being put with McDavid and Celebrini
According to TSN insider Mark Masters, Team Canada’s first official practice has revealed their preliminary lineup. It’s still unclear whether this roster will be used when they open their tournament against Switzerland on Thursday.
The lineup that immediately caught attention online was the top line featuring Connor McDavid alongside Macklin Celebrini and… Tom Wilson.
Many were as surprised as Wilson himself to see the veteran forward in a top-line role. When asked about the assignment, Wilson responded with humor.
“Right up to the penthouse with two amazing players,” he told reporter Kyle Bukauskas, clearly amused by the unexpected promotion.
