The Saskatchewan Roughriders have added further depth to their roster by signing five selections from their 2026 CFL Canadian Draft class ahead of training camp.

The group includes receiver Dylan Djete (second round, 18th overall), offensive lineman Darius Bell (third round, 29th overall), linebacker Osasere Odemwingie (fourth round, 38th overall), offensive lineman Jez Janvier (fifth round, 47th overall), and receiver Shemar McBean (seventh round, 65th overall).

Player highlights

Djete arrives after a solid collegiate career, finishing his final season at Alabama State with over 400 receiving yards and four touchdowns. He previously spent time at Wofford, building consistent production across multiple seasons, and showcased his athleticism at the CFL Combine.

Bell strengthens the offensive line with his size and flexibility. After transferring to East Carolina, he became a regular starter and even transitioned to centre in his final season, demonstrating reliability in pass protection.

Odemwingie brings proven defensive production from the University of Calgary, where he emerged as a key contributor with over 250 career tackles and consistent performances in Canada West competition.

Janvier offers versatility in the trenches, having experience on both sides of the line before settling into an offensive role. He showed strong pass protection during his later college years.

McBean joins following an impressive run at UBC, where he developed into a top receiving threat. His consistent yardage production and special teams ability make him a valuable addition.
