According to reports, the gunfire came from the stands behind the Blackstone Valley School team. Emergency services rushed to the scene, and the suspect reportedly died from a self-inflicted gunshot. Pawtucket Police Chief Tina Goncalves described the shooting as potentially family-related and emphasized that there is no ongoing threat to the public.

The FBI is on-site, offering support to local and state law enforcement, according to Director Kash Patel.
